SIXTH formers at a St Albans school enjoyed their annual Christmas party with local pensioners.

Jess Wood, a sixth form student at Townsend School, High Oaks, who helped organise the OAP Christmas party on December 13, said everyone really enjoyed themselves and pupils were already looking forward to next year’s celebrations.

Around 45 pensioners attended the party where they enjoyed tea, sausage rolls and cakes prepared by the 12 students.

The visitors took part in a Christmas quiz and were entertained with music, singing and dancing.
