St Albans pupils travel to Africa to meet students at linked school

St Albans students are fundraising £7,000 to help an African school build a new canteen.
Sandringham School pupils, along with headteacher Alan Gray, travelled to Farafenni Senior Secondary High School in The Gambia this February to attend lessons, build friendships, and see how the project is progressing.
They met the high commissioner for the area, Sharon Wardle, and took part in a question and answer session with her.
Mr Gray said: “The students were inspired by their meeting with her and have gained a greater understanding of how the Commonwealth works to support member countries.”
Sandringham has been linked with and supported Farafenni for about a decade.
