EXCEPTIONAl performances at A-level thrilled Nicholas Breakspear school last week.

Assistant headteacher Paul Hearn said: “We are very pleased with both our AS and A2 results, which have again gone up from the previous year. There were a number of exceptional individual performances. Despite the demand for places, the vast majority of our students in Year 13 have gained places at university level.”

Individual successes included Barbara Koozusnikova who received an A*, two A grades and a B. She will be heading to Kings College, London, to study History. Marc Walsh, a member of the National Youth Theatre, took time off from a technical rehearsal to get his grades. He is now off to study broadcast operations and production at Ravensbourne with a view to a career in TV.

The vast majority of students at the school will go on to university or further study at college.
