NINETEEN boys from St Albans School woke up this morning (August, 23) to discover they had ten or more A* GCSE grades.
And overall 52 per of the school’s results were at A*, with a further 84 per cent at A or A*.
Headmaster Andrew Grant said: “This is the fifth year in succession where more than 50 per cent of the results have been at A* and over 80 per cent at A* or A, which is an achievement bettered by very few boys schools in the UK.
“Our students lead extremely busy lives, many with a heavy commitment to sport, music, drama, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award or the CCF, and I am proud to see so many of them take GCSEs in their stride at the very highest level of achievement.”
