A JOINT educational venture between Oaklands College in St Albans and the University of Hertfordshire in neighbouring Hatfield has been announced.
University Campus St Albans (UCSA) has officially opened for business, offering applicants its first part-time honours degree in business management and innovation.
Quintin McKellar, vice-chancellor at the university, said UCSA was designed to allow students to build their degree in a way which suited their lives.
The flexible part-time degree programmes are aimed at people hoping to combine work and study. The first programme will be delivered from Oaklands’ Campus at Smallford, and the Hertfordshire business school in Hatfield.
Students will typically study over a four-year period.
Principal of Oaklands Zoe Hancock said: “We have worked hard with employers and the wider community to take UCSA to this stage and as we grow the focus will remain on the development of skills that employers want.”
