A Harpenden school has opened the doors to its new £300,000 science lab.
The new laboratory was built at Sir John Lawes School in Manland Way, and was completed after six months of work.
Headteacher Claire Robins said: “We are dedicated to constantly improving and investing in our facilities in order to provide the very best educational experience for all.
“Science is a key area for us so we are delighted to be able to offer the very latest in state of the art science facilities to all of our pupils.”
The lab was designed by property and construction consultancy Ingleton Wood, who secured funding for the project via the Education, Skills and Funding Agency (ESFA).
Gary Benn, Project Manager at Ingleton Wood, said: “It’s been a pleasure to deliver this important project for Sir John Lawes School.
“We have been really successful in gaining funding for public sector schemes and it is always rewarding to see them come to fruition.”
