A touch of TV glamour came to Oaklands College as actress Rosie Marcel of Holby City fame joined students and staff to celebrate their success at a special awards ceremony.

The lavish Celebration of Success is an annual event designed to reward exceptional performance be it academic or in the face of difficult circumstances.

The Principal’s Award went to business and administration apprentice Chloe Harrison whose work in the college’s Contact Centre was highlighted.

She was described as “a wonderfully talented and positive young lady... young people like Chloe will be the future of the college”.

Oaklands principal Zoe Hancock said: “We were honoured to have Rosie Marcel presenting the awards and I would like to thank all of those involved for making the night such a great experience for winners and guests.”
