PIECES of pottery were turned into works of arts for mums at a Harpenden school recently.
Aldwickbury School, Wheathampstead Road, held a Mother’s Day event for fathers and sons, with pupils creating personal gifts for their mums.
More than 60 boys took part in the pottery painting session which, according to a spokeswoman, not only provided a creative opportunity for the boys but also enabled them to spend quality time with their fathers.
One dad said: “It was a lovely thing to do together for Mothers’ Day and I’m looking forward to the boys painting beer tankards for Father’s Day!”
