World Book Day celebrations got off to an early start at St Albans Girls School with a visit from Harpenden children’s author Camilla Chester.
A former teacher, Camilla explained her lifelong passion for wanting to become an author and how her dreams always help her to create some very special, unique stories, including her debut novel Jarred Dreams, which was shortlisted for the National Literacy Trust’s new authors prize.
Pupil Amy Stevenson said: “I enjoyed discovering how Camilla writes her books and really had a lot of fun today.”
Camilla’s second book EATS will be published on May 6. A third book is currently being planned for 2018 entitled Thirteenth Wish.
