TEENAGERS from two St Albans schools were seen proudly waving their GCSE results in the air this morning after learning the outcome of three years of hard work.
Headmaster at Verulam school, Paul Ramsey, said he was delighted to see the boys buck the national trend, adding: “It is testament to the hard work of our boys and staff that the percentage of A/A*grades achieved rose, whilst nationally there was a significant decline.”
While Marlborough School applauded their students’ “terrific” results and said they were looking forward to welcoming back many pupils to sixth form in September.
