A-LEVEL students at Sir John Lawes received some of the school’s best results this morning.
Almost 30 students at the Harpenden school achieved As and A*s only and several students achieved straight A* grades.
Barney Walker, who discovered he’d got five A* grades, will now be able to take up his place at Cambridge university where he will study Natural Sciences. He said: “I’m so relieved! The pressure was intense but we made it through.”
Headteacher Claire Robins said: “We are delighted that the hard work that our staff and students have put in, not just over the last two years but even before that, has been rewarded with such a terrific set of results. This year group deserve all their success - not only have they worked extremely hard but they have also given a great deal back to the school during their time with us and been excellent role models for our younger students. We wish them good luck as they move onto the next stage of their careers.”
