Students at Samuel Ryder Academy have topped their GCSE grades for a third year in a row.

Results have improved for the third year running at the school in Drakes Drive, St Albans.

Pupils Daniel Ellerbeck and Sofia Metcalf-Reiner said they were thrilled to receive A* and A grades as well as full marks in their English exam.

Headteacher, Mathew Gauthier, said: “I am delighted all of the students’ hard work has paid off and they have been so successful.

“I would also like to thank the dedicated and talented staff we have for guiding the students so well.”
