Marlborough Science Academy witnessed an eight per cent increase in the number of A and A* GCSE grades this morning as it recorded its highest percentage of top grades ever.
Governors and staff paid tribute to pupils’ parents for their support during the exam season, adding that they were delighted with the school’s results.
Katie Richardson, who was among the students at Marlborough opening their results this morning, said: “I’m really proud of my results. I have struggled a lot over the past two years in my GCSEs and if it wasn’t for the teachers at Marlborough, I wouldn’t have got the grades I did.
“I will be celebrating with my girls with a movie night.”
