A “FANTASTIC” set of A-level results have left smiles all round at Francis Bacon School in St Albans.
Many students at the maths and computing college achieved the grades they required to go to their preferred universities.
Headteacher Jacqui Verrall said: “I am so proud of our students who through their hard work are now able to take the next steps in their educational lives.”
She said the results demonstrate that the sixth form studies provided by the school continues to go from strength to strength.
Individual successes included Christopher Jones who achieved two A* and two A grades, and secured a place at Warwick University next year to study Mathematics. Tahirul Islam also gained a place at his preferred university after achieving one A grade and two B grades.
