YOUTH cricket champions from the district were awarded their trophy by England fast bowler Steve Finn.
St Albans Under 11 Cricket Team travelled to Wembley Stadium as guests at the recent Saracens v Leinster rugby match to collect their award for winning the county eight-a-side cricket championship.
Captained by Amit Wangoo and managed by Chris Pollard, the team won in the finals against Bishop’s Stortford and Dunstable in July and have been eagerly waiting to be presented for their achievements since then.
