Delighted girls from a Harpenden school attended a very special service in London and met a celebrity at the same time.
A group of pupils from St Hilda’s School, Harpenden, were invited to attend a service in St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, in aid of Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope, a charity which seeks to assist amputees in third world countries.
The charity was inspired by Pollyanna Hope who lost her leg in an accident when she was two years old and is a cousin of Ab Fab star Joanna Lumley.
The St Hilda’s girls met Joanna who is pictured alongside members of the Hope family. The charity was formed by Pollyanna’s mother Sarah and her twin sister Victoria.
