A LARGE percentage of students at Francis Bacon School in St Albans, are moving on to university and A2 studies after receiving their A and AS-level results.

Head Jacqui Verrall has sent her congratulations to Years 12 and 13 and said the results demonstrated that young people at the school were ready to embark on the next leg of their educational journeys.

She went on: “Students were industrious throughout their courses and have used the support of their teachers and parents effectively, demonstrating resilience through this challenging period.”

Ms Verrall said that among the individual successes were Sophie Draper at A2 and Chris Jones and Tahirul Islam at AS, of whom the school was extremely proud.

Francis Bacon is being converted to an “all-through” for ages three to 18 years from next September.
