Nicholas Breakspear Catholic School students celebrated a pleasing set of A-level results with an overall pass rate of 100 per cent.

Headteacher Declan Linnane said: “We are delighted with the success of our students in their A-Levels and BTEC results. We are pleased to see so many of our students achieving their first choice of university.

“This would not be possible without the outstanding efforts of students, parents and staff. This community should be proud of what they have achieved.

“As teachers we are in a privileged position to see how education truly shapes young people lives for the better and I am proud of what they have achieved.”

Students who achieved exceptional results included Bethany Hyne, who achieved two A*s and an A; Chloe Bonass, with two As and an A*; Robert Hunter who gained an A*, A and a B; Adrian Wasiolek, with three Bs and an A; Celeste Perolizzi, with two As and a B; and Elyse Wyse, with two Bs and an A.

Bethany Hyne, who is going on to study history at Durham University, said: “Nicholas Breakspear Catholic School has given me a wealth of opportunities over the last seven years.

“This has set me up for the next exciting chapter in my life. I am really pleased with my results.”

Chris Laing, the school’s head of sixth form, said: “It is clear that the students and staff have worked hard together to ensure each individual reaches their full potential. To see students achieve their worthy grades and get into the first choice university gives me a great sense of pride.

“I look forward to working with the year 12 students and I have faith that they will continue to flourish in this wonderful sixth form.”
