Students at Townsend School in St Albans have seen huge A-Level success this year, with just under 70 per cent of pupils gaining A–C grades.
The school is also celebrating record-breaking AS results with nearly two-thirds of pupils achieving or exceeding their target grades.
Student Joe Hill achieved two As and a B and will be going to study Physics with Renewable Energy Science at Dundee.
Fellow pupil Tarun Patel achieved two As and two Bs and will be studying Neurosciences at Bristol next year.
A spokesperson from the school said: “These results confirm the increasing effectiveness and popularity of the sixth form as it continues to develop.”
