Pupils at St Albans High School for Girls celebrated outstanding A-Level grades this morning with around 95 per cent of results being graded between A* and B.
Seventy-eight per cent of the grades awarded were either A or A* and 12 per cent of students have subsequently secured university places at Oxbridge colleges.
Headteacher Jenny Brown said: “These impressive A2 results mark another year of academic excellence and personal achievement at the school. They reflect the students’ intellectual enthusiasm, motivation and ambition which is strongly supported by our team of superb teachers.
“I am delighted that so many of them have secured a place at their first choice university.”
