TWO key roads in St Albans will be closed on Monday to repaint road markings.

Victoria Street will be closed between the junctions of Alma Road and Station Way between 9.30am and 7pm, along with Lattimore Road.

The closure is to enable highways teams to repaint the road markings following the recent resurfacing work. It is hoped that the roads will not need to be closed for the entire day but the time taken for the work will depend on the weather.

A spokesperson for Herts Highways stressed that it is critical that nobody parks on the roads on Monday so that the road painting can be carried out as quickly and as smoothly as possible. A signed diversion will be in place.
