Police seek information on gold BMX bike which has sentimental value to owner
POLICE are appealing for information and witnesses following the theft of a distinctive bike in St Albans which has sentimental value to its owner.
The bike, a 1997 Gary Fisher Quick Pierce gold BMX, with silver chrome forks and black wheels, was stolen last weekend, November 4-6, from Raymer Close in the city.
One or more offenders forced their way into the victim’s locked garage and stole the bike.
PC Ben Kirby, from St Albans safer neighbourhood team, said the bike had sentimental value to its owner as it was a present for his 21st birthday.
He added: “I would like to appeal to anyone who heard or saw any suspicious activity around the time of the incident to come forward.”
PC Kirby said that someone may have seen the distinctive bike or been offered it for sale.
