Two staff members from Deloitte will be cycling the length of Britain to raise money for St Albans charity Earthworks.

Tim Waterhouse and James Baker will be cycling from John O’Groats to Land’s End over nine days.

They will be joined by 80 colleagues, as well as clients and members of the public, bringing the number of riders to 800.

Corporate responsibility lead for Deloitte, Heather Bygrave, said: “I am delighted Tim and James are supporting Earthworks, and I am pleased my team are involving themselves in several different initiatives with the charity.

“Earthworks is a fantastic local charity and we are enjoying supporting them.”

Earthworks was established almost two decades ago to help people with learning disabilities lead creative and social lives.

Tim and James visited Earthworks and met with several of the ‘Earthworkers’ who come to the charity.

An Earthworks spokesperson said: “Everyone is fascinated with the amazing feat they are doing.

“One of the Earthworkers suggested we have a tea party for them once they are finished.”
