A person has died after being struck by a train at Radlett railway station this afternoon.

Emergency services attended the incident, which is being treated as non-suspicious, just after 3pm and the person was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are currently no services running through the station and First Capital Connect has informed customers to expect delays of up to 80 minutes.

Tickets are being accepted on Greater Northern routes to and from Kings Cross and on Uno bus services between Hatfield and St Albans.

A spokeswoman for British Transport Police said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the person’s identity and inform their family. A file will be prepared for the Coroner.”
