A CYCLIST died after collapsing during in Kimpton on Easter Monday.
The man in his 50s, thought to be from Childwickbury, was cycling in Ballslough Hill Lane at around 12.30pm.
An off-duty doctor attempted to resuscitate the cyclist prior to the arrival of paramedics who found him to be in cardiac arrest. He was taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage where he died.
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service thanked the off-duty doctor at the scene for his assistance.
