A CAR crash caused traffic chaos around the south side of St Albans yesterday (Monday) evening.

A black Ford Fiesta crashed in Mayne Avenue near the Waitrose store at around 7pm. No other vehicles were involved. The driver was unhurt in the incident even though the vehicle landed upside down on the verge in the crash.

The incident caused long tailbacks along the King Harry Lane and its approaches from both ends.
