An accident on a busy stretch of the M25 is causing congestion for commuters on their way home.

Herts Police officers are on the scene at junction 22 on the clockwise carriageway after a collision between a lorry and a car, which has left the car on its roof.

A spokeswoman for Herts Police confirmed a rolling roadblock has been put in place between junctions 22 and 23 for Borehamwood because of fear that debris had travelled.

Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service are also on the scene and injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
