A Welwyn Garden City man has been jailed for driving offences following his “flagrant disregard for court orders”.
Mathew Evans, 35, was jailed for 18 weeks after appearing at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on February 1.
Evans, of Howlands, admitted three driving offences which took place in Markyate on January 31.
He failed, without reasonable excuse, to give a blood sample during the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence.
He admitted driving a BMW 116 while banned from driving and driving without insurance.
Evans was jailed for 18 weeks because of his disregard for court orders and previous record of offending.
He was also ordered to pay victim services £115 and £85 court costs.
The defendant was banned from driving for 45 months - nearly four years.
