Public order offences

Peter Clark, 25, of Beningfield Drive, London Colney, was made subject of a restraining order until September 24 2013, was fined �700 and ordered to pay �350 compensation and �465 costs for causing harassment, alarm or distress by using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Hatfield on June 3.

Neil McGovern, 35, of Fish Street, Redbourn, was fined �60 plus �65 costs for using threatening, abusive or insulting words with the intent of causing harassment, alarm or distress, in St Albans on June 15.

Motoring offences

Frederick Betts, 79, of Jenkins Avenue, Bricket Wood, was fined �45 plus �15 costs and awarded three penalty points for speeding at 61mph along the 50mph A414 Stanstead Abbots by-pass on March 29.

Brent Briard, 48, of High Street, Markyate, was fined �200 plus �100 costs and awarded three penalty points for speeding at 63mph along the M25 between J21-23 when a 50mph temporary speed restriction was in place on March 24.

Christopher Lawson, 19, of House Lane, St Albans, was ordered to attend Bedfordshire Senior and Luton Junior attendance centre for 30 hours and was banned from driving for 12 months, for driving without a licence or insurance in Cavendish Way, Hatfield, on September 17.

Jade Smithers, 32, of Phillimore Place, Radlett, was fined �95 plus �100 costs and awarded three penalty points for speeding at 37mph along the 30mph A5182 Park Street on April 17.

Michael Brown, 53, of Haseldine Road, London Colney, was fined �200 plus �100 costs and awarded three penalty points for speeding at 48mph along the 40mph A1057 St Albans Road West on April 29.

Harold Shipman, of Piggotshill Lane, Harpenden, was fined �200 plus �105 costs for failing to deliver part of a registration document relating to the notification of transfer of the vehicle, at Harpenden on March 31.

Dumitru Nastasa, 27, was ordered to carry out 70 hours unpaid community work, was banned from driving for 28 days and ordered to pay costs of �85 for driving while disqualified and without insurance along the M25 between J22-23 on September 18.

Mitchell Parratt, 30, of High Street, Kimpton, was fined �145 plus �100 costs and awarded six penalty points for driving without insurance or an MOT certificate in Marford Road, Welwyn Garden City on September 6.

Mark Alyson, 41, of Newgate Close, St Albans, was made subject to a community order to attend appointments with a responsible officer until March 31, 2014, banned from driving for 48 months, and ordered to pay �250 costs for failing to provide a breath specimen in St Albans on March 15.

Drugs offences

Brian Sheaf, 56, of Watling Street, Radlett, was fined �50 plus �100 costs for possession of a small lump of amphetamine and four small wraps of cannabis at Borehamwood on August 14. He was fined a further �40 for failing to surrender to custody at Central Herts Magistrates Court on September 25, and an additional �60 for breaching a conditional discharge made on December 15 relating to the possession of a quantity of amphetamine, 0.249g of cannabis resin, and a quantity of CCP, BZMP and fluoramphetamine in Radlett on June 22 2011.

Theft

Janine Brooks, 23, of Bardwell Court, St Albans, was fined �70 and ordered to pay �50 compensation and �80 costs for stealing �70 cash from TK Maxx at London Colney on or between September 11-14.

Matthew Allen, 27, of Tassell Hall, Redbourn, was fined �73 plus �85 costs for stealing DVDs worth �56.89 from British Home Stores in St Albans on July 3 and a further �146 plus �79.98 compensation and �15 costs for dishonestly making a false representation by producing a receipt and claiming it was for items he had removed from the shelf, intending to make a gain, at HMV in St Peter’s Street on September 9.

Drink-driving

Ken Drewett, 51, of Saxon Road, Wheathampstead, was fined �235 plus �100 costs and banned from driving for 12 months after giving a breath specimen of 42mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, in Twyford Road, St Albans on September 18.

Richard Lock, 49, of Worcester Court, St Albans, was banned from driving for six months and fined �300 plus �515 costs after giving a breath specimen of 119mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, in Alma Road, St Albans, on May 20.

Criminal damage

Anne Mountford, 42, of Lavender Crescent, St Albans, was ordered to pay �200 compensation for damaging an internal door and double-glazed window pane belonging to The Aldwick Housing Association at Rickmansworth on September 17.

Assault

Sara Moore, 43, of Pippin Close, Shenley, was given a six month conditional discharge and ordered to pay �50 costs for committing assault by beating in Shenley on September 19.

James Bowman, 29, of Chequer Street, St Albans, was made subject to a restraining order until September 30 2013, fined �100 and ordered to pay �65 costs for committing assault by beating in St Albans on July 21 and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in St Albans on July 23.

Impersonating a police officer

Troy Ahern, 21, of Lemsford Road, St Albans, was fined �100 plus �55 costs for impersonating a special constable or member of a police force by informing a member of the public that he was under arrest and escorting him to uniformed officers, at St Peter’s Street, St Albans, on May 22.

TV licence evasion

Zali Mahama, 43, of Driftwood Avenue, St Albans, was fined �400 plus �75 costs for using a colour television without a licence at the above address on June 19.

Lisa Saaded, 43, of Stanhope Road, St Albans, was fined �200 plus �75 costs for using a colour television without a licence at the above address on June 19.

Mariah Spelman, 34, of Hillside Road, St Albans, was fined �110 plus �75 costs for using a colour television without a licence at the above address on June 19.
