TV licence evasion

Richard Bruce, 22, of Mountbatten Close, St Albans, was fined £200 plus £110 costs for using a colour television without a licence at the above address between October 8 and November 9.

Jane Dolling, 54, of Martyr Close, St Albans, was fined £37 and ordered to pay costs of £70 for using a TV without a licence between December 22, 2012, and January 23.

Farrah Hall, 36, of College Road, St Albans, was fined £300 and ordered to pay costs of £120 for using a TV without a licence at the above address on January 17.

Kelly Harris, 41, of Summerfield Close, London Colney, was fined £200 and ordered to pay costs of £110 for using a TV without a licence at the above address on January 13.

Samantha Richardson, 35, of Norris Close, London Colney, was fined £300 and ordered to pay costs of £120 for using a TV without a licence at the above address on January 14.

Mariah Spelman, 34, of Hillside Road, St Albans, was fined £300 and ordered to pay costs of £120 for using a TV without a licence at the above address on January 22.

Motoring offences

Andrew Hall, 33, of Shirley Road, St Albans, was fined £300, ordered to pay costs of £115 and disqualified from driving for six months for driving without insurance or a licence at Hemel Hempstead on March 29.

Gabor Kiss, 37, of Cedar Court, St Albans, was fined £235, ordered to pay costs of £100 and awarded six penalty points for driving in excess of 70mph on the A602 Wymondley bypass on August 14, 2012.

Ryan Burbidge, 24, of Hill End Lane, St Albans was fined £265, ordered to pay costs of £100 and awarded seven penalty points on his licence for driving without insurance on the M25 between J22-23 on September 15, 2012.

Larry Evans, 23, of Hemel Hempstead Road, St Albans, was fined £215, ordered to pay costs of £107 and awarded three penalty points on his licence for driving a dangerously overloaded vehicle on the M1 between J6-5 on October 16, 2012.

Philip James, 50, of Alma Road, St Albans, was fined £600, ordered to pay costs of £145 and awarded eight penalty points on his licence for driving without insurance on the M25 on October 13, 2012.

Rooban Princley, 28, of Drakes Drive, St Albans, was fined £135, ordered to pay costs of £105 and awarded six penalty points on his licence for driving in excess of 70mph on the M1 in Hertfordshire on Ocotber 1, 2012.

Dustan Williams, 38, of Drakes Drive, St Albans, was fined £200 and ordered to pay costs of £105 for driving a vehicle without a test certificate on the M25 between J22-23 on Ocotber 2, 2012.

Oliver Rowling, 18, of Annables Lane, Harpenden, was fined £230, ordered to pay costs of £100 and disqualified from driving for two months for driving without due care and attention in St Albans on September 27, 2012.

Trevor Healey, 54, of Trevelyan Place, St Albans, was fined £400, ordered to pay costs of £125 and awarded four penalty points on his licence for driving at 43mph on the 30mph Harpenden Road, St Albans, on October 14, 2012

Stephen Gilbert, 27, of Lye Lane, Bricket Wood, was fined £200 and ordered to pay costs of £105 for driving without insurance on the M25 between J4-5 on October 27, 2012.

Thomas Young, 29, of High Street, Londond Colney, was fined £90, ordered to pay costs of £105 and awarded six penalty points on his licence for driving without insurance in London Colney on November 1, 2012.

Tamasz Pajor, 34, of Morris Way, London Colney, was fined £275, ordered to pay costs of £112 and disqualified from driving for 22 months for failing to provide a specimen of breath when required while driving at Hatfield on March 24.

Fishing licence evasion

Barry Smith, 32, of Nicholls Close, Redbourn, was fined £100 and ordered to pay costs of £142.47 for fishing without a licence at Willows Lake, London Colney, on September 6, 2012.

Assault

Paul Crosbie, 23, of Cotlandswick, London Colney, was committed to prison for 26 weeks and ordered to pay compensation of £1,800 for assault causing actual bodily harm in St Albans on December 23, 2012.

Theft

Phillippa Harvard, 52, of Norris Close, London Colney, was committed to prison for two weeks with a further 10 weeks suspended for stealing food to the value of £80 from Sainsbury’s in St Albans on April 1, £70 on April 4 and £100 on April 6.

Adam Boon, 39, of Cottonmill Crescent, St Albans, was committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 18 months for fraud in dishonestly making a representation, namely that he had no means of paying for fuel and would make a payment on a future date, intending to make a gain on December 8, 2012, in Stevenage. He was also ordered to pay compensation of £88.

He was also committed to prison for 12 weeks in prison concurrent suspended for 18 months for stealing food to the value of £20 from Spar in Hill End Lane, St Albans, on December 13, and another three weeks in prison suspended for 18 months for failing to provide a non intimate sample while in police detention, on January 13.

He was again committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 18 months for stealing a pair of shoes worth £80 belonging to Kurt Geiger in St Albans on January 4, and again for stealing, together with an unknown female, food items to the value of £70 from BP in St Albans on February 22, stealing clothing worth £300 belonging to TK-Maxx in St Albans on February 9, stealing two jackets worth £380 from Millets in St Albans, on March 15, and stealing 13 bottles of bio-oil worth £259.87 belonging to Boots in St Albans on March 26.

Drink-driving

Philip Corley, 46, of Fish Street Redbourn, was fined £110, ordered to pay costs of £105 and disqualified from driving for 21 months after giving a sample of 86mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath while driving at Hemel Hempstead on March 24.

Drugs offences

Daniel Bourne, 38, of Shenleybury Farm Cottages, Shenley, was fined £110 and ordered to pay costs of £105 for possessing a small quantity of cocaine at Radlett on April 10.

Alan Hardey, 49, of Temple View, St Albans, was fined £110 and ordered to pay costs of £105 for possessing nine grams of cannabis in St Albans on April 12.

Obstructing a police officer

James Stenhouse, 24, of Aysgarth Close, Harpenden, was fined £450 and ordered to pay costs of £130 for obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duty at Harpenden on March 15. He was also fined £450 and awarded five penalty points on his licence for being the driver of a vehicle on Bowers Way, Harpenden, which caused an accident on the same date.

Correction

Andrew Clench, 61, who was convicted of drink-driving in Potten End on February 3, has been falsely giving his address as Garibaldi Public House in Albert Street, St Albans. He is actually not a resident at this premises and the landlord and landlady have asked us to point out that this is the case. Clench’s current whereabouts is unknown.
