Theft

Victoria Clifford, 25, of Newcombe Road, Shenley, was fined £73 plus £105 costs for stealing food and clothing worth £172.50 from Tesco at Borehamwood on June 17.

Sodipe Olusesi, 43, of Marconi Way, St Albans, was ordered to carry out 85 hours unpaid community work, and pay costs of £145 after stealing a joint of lamb worth £15.20 from Sainsbury’s at St Albans on April 21, was ordered to carry out a further 85 hours unpaid community work, and was banned from driving for six months for driving without a licence or insurance in Everard Close, St Albans, on the same date.

Frances Mason, 31, of Harness Way, St Albans, was fined £90 plus £40 costs and £100 compensation for dishonestly making off without paying for a £100 taxi ride from London to St Albans on February 21.

Drink driving

Allan Crocker, 23, of Roundwood Lane, Harpenden, was fined £110 plus £105 costs and banned from driving for 12 months after giving a blood specimen of 89mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood, in Roundwood Lane, Harpenden, on May 4.

Arkadiusz Gawron, 26, of Wycombe Place, St Albans, was fined £360 plus £121 costs and was banned from driving for 14 months after giving a breath specimen of 53mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, in Birchwood Avenue, Hatfield, on June 7.

Sallah Harisha. 49, of Watling Street, Park Street, was banned from driving for 19 months and fined £1,000 plus £185 costs after giving a breath specimen of 74mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, in Gadeside, Watford, on June 15.

Motoring offences

Annie Gabblah, 48, of Wingate Way, St Albans, was fined £145 plus £105 costs and awarded six penalty points for driving without insurance or an MOT in London Road, St Albans, on November 17.

Miranda Strauss, 43, of Raphael Close, Shenley, was fined £180 plus £105 costs and banned from driving for four months for driving without insurance in Watling Street, Radlett, on November 3, and a further £60 for using a handheld mobile phone at the same time.

Ricky Hall, 31, of Francis Avenue, St Albans, was banned from driving for six months and fined £300 plus £150 costs for driving without a licence or insurance in Sherwood Avenue, St Albans, on February 9. He was also ordered to carry out 200 hours unpaid community work and pay £110 costs for carrying out a racially aggravated assault by beating in St Albans on the same date.

Laura Przybylski, 48, of Amenbury Lane, Harpenden, was fined £300 plus £130 costs for failing to provide correct insurance for a vehicle registered in her name at Harpenden, on October 31, contrary to section 144A of the Road Traffic Act 1988.

Clifford Taylor, of Canberra Close, St Albans, was fined £200 plus £130 costs for failing to provide correct insurance for a vehicle registered in his name at St Albans, on October 23, contrary to section 144A of the Road Traffic Act 1988.

Wayne Dean, 43, of Lye Lane, Bricket Wood, was fined £65 plus £65 costs and awarded four penalty points for speeding at 43mph along the 30mph B462 Aldenham Road, Bushey, on December 3, and was fined a further £60 plus three penalty points for speeding along the 30mph B487 Redbourn Lane, Harpenden, on December 14, and another £60 and three points for speeding along Hawfield Gardens at Park Street on January 3.

William O’Connor, 37, of Shenley Lane, London Colney, was fined £60 plus £20 costs and awarded three penalty points for speeding at 37mph along the 30mph A4147 Maylands Avenue, Hemel Hempstead, on November 12.

Dominic Keating, 44, of Maplefield, Park Street, was fined £185 plus £105 costs and awarded three penalty points for speeding at 36mph along the 30mph A5183 Park Street, on November 12.

James Harmsworth, 32, of Radlett Road, Frogmore, was fined £170 plus £105 costs and awarded five penalty points for driving without due care and attention in Dixons Hill Road, Welham Green, failing to give way when attempting to turn right across the path of oncoming traffic, pulling out in front of a car and causing the driver to swerve and collide with another vehicle, causing slight injuries to a passenger and one of the drivers.

Mary Casey, 52, of Caravan Site, Park Street, was fined £37 plus £20 costs and awarded three penalty points for failing to comply with a red light traffic signal in Cambridge Road, Cheshunt, on October 17.

Graham Clark, 51, of Northfield Road, Harpenden, was fined £40 plus £20 costs and awarded three penalty points for speeding at 36mph along the 30mph A412 St Albans Road, Watford, on October 21.

Jennifer Slade, 38, of Lancaster Road, St Albans, was fined £100 plus £105 costs and awarded five penalty points for driving without due care and attention in Waverley Road, St Albans, on February 6, pulling into the path of a motor scooter and causing the rider to break hard, collide with her vehicle and be catapulted over the top before falling to the ground, causing him a broken knee-cap.

Diana Lawton, 79, of Monks Close, Redbourn, was fined £350 plus £105 costs and awarded five penalty points for driving without due care and attention in Drovers Lane, Wheathampstead, on February 13, failing to give way at a junction and pulling out into the path of an oncoming car, causing it to collide and cause slight injury to the driver.

Isotta Guttadauro, 46, of Swallow Lane, St Albans, was fined £120 plus £105 costs and awarded five penalty points for speeding at 46mph along 30mph Drakes Drive, St Albans, on October 15.

Public order offences

Howard Black, 48, of Bricket Road, St Albans, was fined £50 plus £20 costs for drinking alcohol in St Albans on June 26 in breach of an anti-social behaviour order, and fined a further £50 for damaging a gate and private pathway belonging to the Royal Mail on the same date.

Michael Ellis, 21, of Holyrood Crescent, St Albans, was ordered to pay costs of £145, attend Drinkwise sessions for five days, and was given a 12 week curfew between 8pm-6am, for assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duty in St Albans on April 25, using racially-aggravated threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress in St Albans on the same date, and also on April 9.

Colin Gray, 40, of Hughenden Road, St Albans, was committed to prison for four weeks suspended for 24 months, and ordered to pay costs of £85 for causing wasteful employment of the police by knowingly making a false report claiming an offence had been committed, at St Albans on February 20. He was given a further 17 weeks suspended for 24 months and fined £160 for breaching a restraining order on May 10, and a consecutive 17 weeks for making phone calls and sending text messages at various times in May 2013 in breach of a restraining order.

David Synnot, 51, of Eastmoor Park, Harpenden, was made the subject of a restraining order until June 5, 2015, and ordered to pay £85 costs after pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to harassment between February 1 and March 2.

Shahan Ahmed, 24, of Dellfield, St Albans, was made the subject of a restraining order until November 22, and fined £100 plus £107 costs after damaging a front door belonging to St Albans council between May 3-5, and failing to surrender to custody at Central Herts Magistrates’ Court on May 16. He was also fined a further £100 for damaging a plate glass window belonging to Abbey Spice on October 17.

Rail fare evasion

Stuart McGregor, 33, of Lattimore Road, St Albans, was fined £200 plus £4.80 compensation and £140 costs for failing to hand over a ticket for inspection at St Albans station on January 21.

Fraud

Mark Simpson, 40, of Abbots Avenue West, St Albans, was fined £128 plus £105 costs and ordered to pay £24.51 compensation for fraudulently giving false details in order to obtain £24.51 of fuel, at St Albans on April 8.
