Lee Ramsey, 31, of Lemsford Road, St Albans, was ordered to carry out 40 hours unpaid community work, pay £410 compensation and £145 costs for stealing gift cards, Christmas vouchers and cash to a value of £480 belonging to the Morrisons store in St Albans between December 21 and 31.

Fraser Drummond, 21, of Old Kent Road, St Albans, was given a one year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £33.98 compensation and £100 costs for stealing two DVDs worth £33.98 from HMV in St Albans on December 31.

Mark Simpson, 39, of Abbots Avenue West, St Albans, was given an 18 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £13.50 compensation and £100 costs for stealing a DVD film from Tesco Metro in St Albans on January 2.

Daniel Larkin, 30, of Wheat Close, Sandridge, was fined £685 plus £101.57 compensation and £100 costs for making off without paying for petrol from St Albans on January 15, February 9, February 13, Harpenden on February 16, and Redbourn on March 9, and for failing to surrender to custody at St Albans on September 27.

Drink driving

Luke Hayward, 21, of Roman Way, Markyate, was fined £250 plus £110 costs and was banned from driving for 17 months after giving a breath specimen of 60mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, in Roman Way, Markyate, on November 21.

Samantha Richardson, 34, of Norris Close, London Colney, was banned from driving for 17 months and fined £110 plus £105 costs after giving a breath specimen of 61mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, at Norris Close in London Colney on December 30.

Tina Deradour, 49, of Cutmore Drive, Colney Heath, was banned from driving for 26 months and fined £335 plus £118 costs after giving a breath specimen of 108mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, in the car park outside the Spar shop in Russet Drive, St Albans, on December 28.

Community work breach

Matthew Callum, 21, of White Horse Lane, London Colney, was fined £135 plus £85 costs for failing to attend unpaid community work on December 7.

Michael Fairall, 26, of Old School Drive, Wheathampstead, was fined £345 plus £85 costs for failing to attend unpaid community work on October 7.

Drugs offences

Louis Kerley, 23, of Park Street, St Albans, was ordered to attend 36 sessions at the Luton Senior Attendance Centre and pay costs of £145 after being found in possession of 2.7g of cannabis with intent to supply at Bricket Wood on November 23, and supplying an unknown quantity of cannabis between October 22 and November 23, within the jurisdiction of St Albans Crown Court.

Joe Picton, 18, of Nicholls Close, Redbourn, was fined £75 plus £105 costs for possession of a small bag containing three buds of cannabis, at Redbourn on November 28.

Alvin Khumalo, 22, of Thirlmere Drive, St Albans, was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs of £45 after being found in possession of 2g of cannabis in St Albans on December 21.

Assault

Jude Sinfield, 18, of Wheat Close, Sandridge, was given an 18 months conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 compensation and £150 costs for carrying out two separate assaults by beating in St Albans on May 12.

Rail fare evasion

Justin Morley-Sutcliffe, 35, of New Road, Radlett, was fined £135 plus £4.10 compensation and £140 costs for failing to hand over a ticket for inspection at Radlett Station on October 18.

Oliver Slovak, 20, of Doggetts Way, St Albans, was fined £200 plus £150 costs and ordered to pay £10.60 compensation for travelling on a railway near St Albans Station without having paid the fare on October 2.

Scott Adams, 23, of Waveley Lodge, St Albans, was fined £450 plus £3.70 compensation and £165 costs for travelling on a railway at Radlett Station without having previously paid a fare, on October 18. He was fined a further £400 plus £3.70 and £120 costs for the same offence at St Albans Station on October 15.

Mathew Ball, 19, of Camp Road, St Albans, was fined £300 plus £140 costs and ordered to pay £2.50 compensation for failing to hand over a ticket for inspection at Welwyn Garden City Station on October 10.

Steven Hersey, 20, of Goldsmiths Way, St Albans, was fined £400 plus £10.60 compensation and £120 costs for travelling on a railway without having previously paid a fare, at St Albans Station on October 10. He was fined a further £450 plus £11.10 compensation and £165 costs for the same offence at St Albans on October 12.

Vehicle tax evasion

Ahbab Ali, of Dellfield, St Albans, was fined £200 plus £90 costs and ordered to pay £55 vehicle excise back duty for keeping an unlicensed vehicle on a public road, namely Dellfield in St Albans, on July 18.

Stuart Harrison, 47, of Watson Avenue, St Albans, was fined £200 plus £90 costs and ordered to pay vehicle excise back duty of £36.67 for keeping an unlicensed vehicle on a public road, namely Watson Avenue in St Albans, on July 18.

David Reader, 58, of Chiltern Road, St Albans, was fined £110 plus £90 costs and ordered to pay vehicle excise back duty of £78.75 for failing to deliver a vehicle licence paid for with a cheque that was subsequently dishonoured, at St Albans on August 10.

Public order offences

John Gilmartin, 56, of Bricket Road, St Albans, was ordered to pay £50 compensation for damaging the glass window pane on the door of a property in Watford on December 28.

He was fined a further £55 for offences in respect of which a conditional discharge was made, including stealing four cans of Carlsberg lager from Tesco in St Albans on July 6, and a bottle of wine from Tesco in Watford on September 27.

He was fined a further £45 plus £50 compensation and £105 costs for damaging a window in St Albans on December 31.

Simon Searly, 39, of Pickford Hill, Harpenden, was given a six month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £150 compensation and £65 costs after damaging a window and door frame on December 31.

Stephen Iacovone, 48, of Willoughby Court, London Colney, was ordered to participate in a Drink Wise programme for six days and pay costs of £620 and £50 compensation for using violence for the purpose of securing entry into premises in St Albans on August 11, and assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty on the same date.

Mark Alyson, 41, of Newgate Close, Jersey Farm, was committed to prison for eight weeks suspended for 12 months, and ordered to pay costs of £165 after damaging an electrical fuse box at St Albans on January 14.

Paul Massey, 42, of Clarence Road, St Albans, was given a six month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £10 compensation and £55 costs after destroying three vases worth £10 at an address in St Albans on December 29.

Josa Alves, 51, of Napsbury Avenue, London Colney, was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £150 compensation and £100 costs for damaging a window at London Colney on October 3.

Billy Littlechild, 20, of Roestock Lane, Colney Heath, was ordered to carry out 40 hours unpaid community work and pay costs of £145 for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in St Albans on December 23.

Nathan Golder, 19, of Bardwell Court, St Albans, was ordered to carry out 40 hours unpaid community work and pay costs of £145 for threatening to burn down St Albans council offices intending his victim to fear the threat would be carried out, on October 24.
