Michael McCarthy: 37, of Roundfield Avenue, Harpenden, was fined £50 plus £75 compensation and £105 costs for assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty at Hatfield on September 25, and failing to surrender to custody at St Albans Magistrates Court on October 8.

David James: 44, of Hall Gardens, Colney Heath, was ordered to carry out 80 hours unpaid community work and pay costs of £145 after being in possession of a weapon designed to discharge electricity in St Albans on August 3, and a packet of herbal cannabis.

Carl Morley: of Hardwick Place, London Colney, was fined £200 plus £145 costs for dropping a cigarette in Watford High Street on January 10.

Carol O’Grady: 48, of Nicholls Close, Redbourn, was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 costs for failing to notify the Department of Work and Pensions that she was working, between October 4 2010 and July 25 2012.

John Kay: 60, of High Street, Redbourn, was committed to prison for nine weeks suspended for 12 months, ordered to carry out 420 hours unpaid community work and pay £165 costs for failing to notify the Department of Work and Pensions of a change of circumstances which affected his entitlement to Jobseekers allowance, between April 26 and June 13, 2007, on November 14, 2007, and July 14, 2009.

Iulian Botezatu: 31, of Catham Close, St Albans, was fined £235 plus £108 costs for changing the date of expiry on a Vehicle Excise Licence, intending to make a gain of £148.50, at St Albans on August 16. He was also fined £115 plus £105 costs for speeding along the 30mph A4125 Eastbury Road at Watford on February 26.

Terry Montgomery: 46, of Watling Street, Radlett, was fined £60 plus £20 costs and was awarded three penalty points for speeding at 38mph along the A5183 Park Street at St Albans on April 12.

Robert Mamoun: of Manor Road, St Albans, was fined £200 and £130 costs for driving without insurance in St Albans on May 14.

Rafique Johnson: of Upper Lattimore Road, St Albans, was fined £200 plus £5.50 compensation and £140 for failing to hand over a ticket for inspection near Harpenden railway station on July 16.

Nicholas Irvine: 26, of Nicholls Close, Redbourn, was ordered to carry out 60 hours unpaid community work and pay £145 costs for taking a car without the owner’s consent from Markyate on October 30, and was banned from driving for 20 months after giving a breath specimen of 73mcg of alcohol in Markyate on the same date, and for driving without insurance or a licence.

Simon Fisher: 25, of Tassell Hall, Redbourn, was committed to prison for eight weeks suspended for 12 months, ordered to have treatment for drug dependency for six months, and to pay £2,000 compensation for dishonest use of a credit card that was not in his name in Harpenden between August 2-19, stealing a Ford Ka from St Albans on May 18, stealing an iPhone 4S and £455 cash from Hatfield on July 23, and a credit card from Harpenden between August 2-19.

Jamie Carrier: 35, of Hopkins Crescent, Sandridge, was ordered to attend a drug rehabilitation programme for 12 months and pay costs of £145 after stealing meat worth £42.12 from Marks & Spencer in St Albans on September 16.

Christine Botting: 44, of Nurseries Road, Wheathampstead, was fined £200 plus £110 costs for watching television without a licence at the above address between April 21 and June 22.

Jessica O’Malley: 32, of Rainbow Close, Redbourn, was fined £400 plus £130 costs for watching television without a licence at the above address between May 12 and June 13.

Dale Noyce: 30, of Hillside Road, St Albans, was fined £400 plus £130 costs for watching television without a licence at the above address between April 22 and May 3.

Karla Hughes: 34, of Hewitt Close, Wheathampstead, was fined £400 plus £130 costs for for watching television without a licence at the above address between May 21 and June 22.

Susanna Hills: 36, of Cottonmill Crescent, St Albans, was fined £400 plus £130 costs for watching television without a licence at the above address on May 1.

Cleonice Gomes: 45, of Chantry Lane, London Colney, was fined £400 plus £130 costs for watching television without a licence at the above address between May 3 and June 4.

Sophie Coombs: 23, of Mandeville Drive, St Albans, was fined £100 plus £110 costs for watching television without a licence at the above address between May 17 and June 18.
