Drugs offences

Stavros Stavrou, 34, of Gills Hill Lane, Radlett, was fined £140 plus £105 costs for possession of 3g of cannabis at Borehamwood on May 30.

Jahan Malik, 25, of Clarence Road, St Albans, was fined £92 plus £105 costs for posession of six bags of cannabis in St Albans on May 9, and a further £92 for failing to surrender to custody at St Albans magistrates’ court on May 21.

Ala Miah, 30, of Cell Barnes Lane, St Albans, was given a six month curfew from 8pm-7.30am, and ordered to pay £145 costs for possession of a wrap of cocaine and two bags of cannabis in St Albans on May 21.

Terrence White, 65, of Lawrence Road, St Albans, was fined £200 plus £105 costs for possession of 3g of cocaine and 96.5g of cannabis resin in St Albans on May 25.

Peter Fleming, 26, of Bricket Road, St Albans, was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 costs for possession of a joint of cannabis in St Albans on June 18.

Christopher Telford, 33, c/o Victoria Street, St Albans, was fined £73 plus £105 costs for possession of a small quantity of cannabis in Alma Road, St Albans, on May 21, plus a further £73 and £85 costs for possession of a cannabis joint in St Albans on June 18.

Max Matthews, 18, of Hazlewood Drive, St Albans, was fined £100 plus £100 costs after being found in possession of a wrap of cannabis in St Albans on June 1.

Billy Greaney, 19, of Meadowcroft, St Albans, was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay costs of £100 for possessing 37 grams of cannabis in St Albans on June 18.

Andrew Niven, 34, of Scrubbitts Square, Radlett, was fined £73 and ordered to pay costs of £105 for possessing two wraps of cannabis at Radlett on June 21.

Public order offences

John-Richard Casewell, 43, of Drakes Drive, St Albans, was fined £150 and ordered to pay costs of £105 for disorderly behaviour in Hatfield on June 19.

Christopher Howard, 66, of Cell Barnes Lane, St Albans, was fined £55 for failing to surrender at Central Herts Magistrates’ Court on July 1 and fined £160 and ordered to pay costs of £70 for using racially aggravated threatening, abusive or insulting words or disorderly behaviour causing harassment, alarm or distress in St Albans on March 11.

Fraud

Jade Hill, 21, of Chalkdell Fields, St Albans, was ordered to pay compensation of £200 and costs of £85 for dishonestly making a false representation for the sale of concert tickets at St Albans on December 12, 2012.

Drink-driving

Nathan Jarrett, 23, of Lybury Lane, Redbourn, was fined £128 for driving without insurance and a further £55 and ordered to pay costs of £105 for driving without a licence at St Albans on June 2. He was fined a further £128 and disqualified from driving for two years for giving a sample of 79mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath on the same occasion.

David Sockett, 72, of Mendip Close, St Albans, was fined £120, ordered to pay costs of £105 and disqualified from driving for 17 months for giving a sample of 60mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath while driving in St Albans on June 14.

Motoring offences

Angela Mellen, 49, of Fishpool Street, St Albans, was fined £40, ordered to pay costs of £105 and awarded three penalty points on her licence for driving at 46mph on the 40mph Hemel Hempstead Road, Hemel Hempstead, on December 14, 2012.

Sanam Mukhtar, 29, of Glenferrie Road, St Albans, was fined £40, ordered to pay costs of £105 and awarded four penalty points on her licence for driving without due care and attention on Hatfield Road, St Albans, on December 31, 2012.

Phillips Smithson, 47, of Cockle Way, Shenley, was fined £110, ordered to pay costs of £105 and awarded six penalty points on his licence for driving witthout insurance at Hemel Hempstead on May 11.

Richard De Smith, 43, of High Street, Wheathampstead, was fined £50 and ordered to pay costs of £105 for driving without a seat belt on Hatfield Road, St Albans, on January 16.

Lyn Englebright, 78, of North Cottages, Napsbury, was fined £50 and ordered to pay costs of £105 for driving without a valid MOT certificate on Roehyde Way, Hatfield, on January 17.

Julie Ryan, 43, of Snatchup, Redbourn, was fined £600, ordered to pay costs of £145 and awarded eight penalty points on her licence for allowing someone to use a vehicle without insurance at Hemel Hempstead on December 2, 2012.

Trevor Heley, 54, of Trevelyan Place, St Albans, was fined £400, ordered to pay costs of £125 and awarded four penalty points on his licence for driving at 43mph on the 30mph Harpenden Road on October 14, 2012.

Theft

Simon Shepherd, 35, of Langley Grove, Sandridge, was commited to prison for 12 months for tresspassing behind to bar of the Waterend Barn in St Albans and stealing three bottles of alcohol to the value of £60 on May 16.

He was also commited to four weeks in prison concurrent for stealing alcohol to the value of £9.38 from Spar in St Albans on May 27, a further four weeks concurrent for stealing alcohol to the value of £13.65 from Co-Op in St Albans on June 3.

He was committed to prison for four weeks concurrent for stealing a bottle of sun tan lotion to the value of £30.69 from Superdrug in St Albans on June 18 and a further four weeks concurrent for assault in St Albans on June 25.

He was also commited to prison for four weeks concurrent for stealing a bottle of vodka of an unknown value from Marks and Spencer in St Albans on June 25.

Steven Bulmer, 21, of Manor Road, London Colney, was fined £50 and ordered to pay compensation of £50 and costs of £60 for stealing cash from Broadlakes Social Club, London Colney on May 23.

Albert Kavanagh, 19, ot Temple View, St Albans, was fined £73 and ordered to pay £11.99 compensation and £105 costs after stealing a bottle of Glenns Vodka from Oasis convenience store in Waverley Road, St Albans, on May 6.

Peter Forson, 45, of Upper Lattimore Road, St Albans, was fined £70 and ordered to pay compensation of £6.99 and costs of £105 for stealing two bottles of wine from Marks and Spencer in St Albans on June 30. He was also fined a further £70 for stealiing a bottle of aftershave from Boots in St Albans on July 8.

Rail fare evasion

Ashley Alexander, 19, of Longfield Road, Harpenden, was fined £300 and ordered to pay compensation of £12.60 and costs of £150 for failiing to hand over a valid ticket for inspection while travelling by train near Harpenden station on March 4.

Linda Chambers, 41, of Aswell Park, Harpenden, was fined £200 and ordered to pay compensation of £5.70 and costs of £140 for failing to hand over a valid ticket for inspection while travelling by train near St Albans station on March 5.

Billy Langdown, 20, of Charrington Place, St Albans, was fined £35 and ordered to pay compensation of £5.50 and costs of £80 for failiing to hand over a valid ticket for inspection while travelling by train at St Albans station on March 5.

Stanislav Andreev, 21, of Barnet Road, London Colney, was fined £200 and ordered to pay compensation of £9.30 and costs of £140 for failiing to hand over a valid ticket for inspection while travelling by train near Hatfield station on March 4.

Mary Murphy, 22, of Park Street, was fined £150 and ordered to pay compensation of £11.00 and costs of £90 for failiing to hand over a valid ticket for inspection while travelling by train at St Albans station on February 20.

Other offences

Bradley Mullery, 21, of Hancross Close, Bricket Wood, was fined £55 and ordered to pay costs of £105 for failing to attend a follow up assessment at Hatfield on January 14.
