Motoring offences

Asif Ansari, 44, of Blandford Road, St Albans, was fined £1,065 plus £100 costs and awarded six penalty points for driving without insurance or a licence along Comet Way, Hatfield, on September 1.

Andrew James, 54, of Aldenham Road, Radlett, was fined £210 plus £100 costs and was banned from driving for six months after driving without insurance along the M1 between J9-8 on August 15.

Richard Hudson, 34, of Batchwood Drive, St Albans, was fined £400 plus £635 costs and awarded five penalty points for driving without due care and attention along Harpenden Road at its junction with Batchwood Drive on August 19, failing to observe and give way to another vehicle at the junction and colliding with its off-side, causing slight injuries to the other driver.

Dave Richards, 51, of Alban Avenue, St Albans, was fined £600 plus £100 costs and awarded eight penalty points for driving without insurance along the A1(M) between J2-1 on September 3.

Mostague Choudhury, 48, of Packhorse Close, St Albans, was fined £60 plus £15 costs and awarded three penalty points for speeding at 36mph along the 30mph Beech Road, St Albans, near to its junction with Firbank Road, on July 19.

Jason Daley, 40, of Maple Avenue, St Albans, was fined £100 plus £65 costs and awarded six penalty points for driving without insurance along King Harry Lane, St Albans, on September 5.

Abraham Aboagye, 40, of Wilshere Avenue, St Albans, was fined £220 plus £105 costs and awarded eight penalty points for obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duty at St Albans, and driving without insurance or a licence in Chequer Street on March 1.

Drink driving

Stephen Young, 36, of Suffolk Close, London Colney, was fined £350 plus £120 and was banned from driving for 20 months after giving a breath specimen of 80mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, in Kings Road, London Colney, on February 15.

Natalie Pear, 22, of Perham Way, London Colney, was fined £110 plus £105 costs and banned from driving for 19 months after giving a breath specimen of 70mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, in London Colney High Street on March 1.

James Dunne, 34, the resident club steward at Verulam Golf Club, London Road, St Albans, was fined £300 plus £115 costs and was banned from driving for 18 months after giving a breath specimen of 67mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, in London Road, St Albams on February 21.

Luke Rudd, 30, of The Ridgeway, Radlett, was fined £100 plus £105 costs and was banned from driving for 14 months after giving a breath specimen of 54mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath, in Watford Road, Elstree on March 3.

Sarah McKenzie, 28, of Olive Close, St Albans, was banned from driving for 13 months and fined £140 plus £170 costs for refusing to provide a breath specimen at Hatfield Police Station on December 19.

Criminal damage

Saman Salami, 39, of Upper Lattimore Road, St Albans, was fined £75 plus £85 compensation and £105 costs for damaging a telephone belonging to St Albans Job Centre worth £85 at Bricket Road, St Albans, on October 24.

Knife possession

Zahid Zaman, 18, of Wellington Place, St Albans, was committed to detention for six weeks suspended for 12 months, and ordered to pay costs of £700 after using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in St Albans on November 22, and being in possession of a knife in Victoria Street, St Albans on the same date.

Assault

Sadique Ali, 39, of Dellfield, St Albans, was ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid community work and pay costs of £145 for assaulting a woman by beating at St Albans on January 28.

Mazidur Muhit, 18, of North Cottages, London Colney, was given a three month curfew from 8pm-7am on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, ordered to carry out 150 hours unpaid community work, and fined £145 and £50 compensation for carrying out an assault by beating in St Albans on January 1, plus a further 150 hours for threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour on the same date, and a final 150 hours for damaging a fence panel on June 2.

Vehicle licence evasion

Katherine Ashworth, 34, of Langley Grove, Sandridge, was fined £400 plus £90 costs and ordered to pay vehicle excise back duty of £95.84 for keeping an unlicensed vehicle in Abbey Mill Lane, St Albans, on May 19.

Vivien Torbuck, 52, of Seaton Road, London Colney, was fined £200 plus £90 costs and ordered to pay vehicle excise back duty of £42.50 for keeping an unlicensed vehicle at the above address on July 19.

Public order offences

Michael Ellis, 21, of Holyrood Crescent, St Albans, was fined £65 plus £105 costs for being drunk and disorderly in St Peter’s Street, St Albans, on February 16.

Paul Gladwell, 27, of Clarence Road, St Albans, was ordered to carry out 60 hours unpaid community work, was made subject to a restraining order until February 27, 2015, and ordered to pay £145 costs for carrying out a programme of harassment by sending text messages of a threatening and offensive nature, at St Albans on November 4.

Theft

Mark Simpson, 40, of Abbots Avenue West, St Albans, was made subject to a curfew for three months between 3pm-midnight daily, and ordered to pay £145 costs for stealing food from Marks & Spencer in St Albans on February 27, and committing a further offence while subject to an 18-month conditional discharge imposed on March 1.

Rail fare evasion

Zhang Cheng, 34, of Hatfield Road, St Albans, was fined £200 plus £140 costs and £10.60 compensation after travelling on a train without a valid ticket at Radlett station on November 26.

Ryan Ingram, 20, of Napsbury Avenue, London Colney, was fined £200 plus £140 costs and £3.70 compensation after entering a train for the purpose of travelling without a valid ticket, at St Albans on November 12.

TV licence evasion

David Edmunds, 46, of Cowper Road, Markyate, was fined £135 plus £55 costs for using a colour television without a licence at the above address on August 1.
