There will be many pearls of wisdom to be shared at the next meeting of St Albans Gardeners Forum, with a talk from Ben Potterton.
Herbaceous perennials, woodland wildflowers and shade shoots are just a few areas of expertise that Ben Potterton of Blacksmiths Cottage Nursery will be speaking about on Tuesday.
Ben will be bringing a selection of plants from his nursery to sell at the meeting and offering advice to fellow gardeners from 7:30pm at the Age Concern Hall in St Peter’s Street.
St Albans Gardeners Forum meets regularly for gardening talks and demonstrations. Any green-fingered folk are welcome to join for a £3 entry fee.
Aside from his gardening contributions, Ben is a keen conservationist - with a project to breed storks in the UK for the first time since 1416.
