FIREFIGHTERS were called to an address in St Albans in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday), following numerous calls about a blaze at the property.
On arrival at the house, in Upton Close, crews found that the fire was in fact in the front garden of the property, where a 10-metre stretch of three-metre high confier trees was well alight.
Crews managed to extinguish the blaze within half an hour and left the scene at around 1.10am.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
