MINDLESS arsonists have destroyed the two remaining wooden gazebos at a housing estate in London Colney.
The first of the three large wooden structures in Napsbury Park was destroyed by a deliberate fire in May and the other two went up in flames in the early hours of yesterday (Thursday) morning.
Firefighters were called to the scene off Beningfield Drive at around 5am where they found the two gazebos, which were around 10 metres in diameter with plastic mock-thatched roofs, well alight.
Despite their quick actions both structures were completely gutted by fire and some surrounding trees damaged.
Then around an hour later, the firefighters were called to nearby Pegrum Drive when the roof of an empty building which is currently being renovated caught on fire.
Due to their quick arrival the blaze hadn’t had much of a chance to spread and the damage to the building was limited.
