SUPPORTERS of the St Albans branch of a national charity enjoyed more than just beverages when they took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Despite poor weather, friends of Macmillan Cancer Support went along to the Greenwood Park community centre where they were joined by the Mayor of St Albans, Cllr Maxine Crawley, MP Anne Main and campaigns manager for Macmillan, Mike Hobday.
As well as cups of freshly-ground coffee and cakes, there were a number of stalls selling jewellery, cards, kitchen utensils, cup cakes, aloe vera products, jams, pickles, chutney and much more.
The coffee morning raised just over 750 which, as everything was donated through local businesses and the community, will go 100 per cent to the charity.
