AN ANNUAL spring fayre and plant sale at a St Albans church raised 1,400 for charity earlier this month.
St Paul’s Church in Hatfield Road saw scores of people attend the event which sees many of the church’s keen gardeners bring along their plants to be sold for charity.
The money raised will be split between Emzini, which provides support for children in need in a small town in South Africa, and Mission Without Borders, which helps those suffering the effects of poverty or persecution.
