POLICE are still seeking information after a cat was recently shot in the back by a high powered rifle in St Albans.
The pet survived the shooting, which took place near its home on Mile House Lane, St Albans, between 4.30pm and 6pm on Monday April 30, but was badly injured in the attack.
PC Adam Wills, investigating, said: “This is a disturbing incident where an innocent animal has been injured because of someone’s careless actions.
“If anyone knows who is responsible for this, or knows of anyone with a pellet gun in the area, I would urge them to get in contact with me as a matter of urgency.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Wills on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
