Firefighters are used to rescuing cats from trees, but last night they were called to a feline in a more unusual predicament.
A concerned caller rang Herts County Fire and Rescue Service last night over fears for a trapped cat at a property off Park Street Lane.
Herts Fire Control tweeted: “St Albans’ second pump attended Maplefield to reports of an unknown cat being stuck between the pedestal and pipes of a sink.
“Concerns from the caller that the cat’s life was at risk.
“Crews successfully released and pleased to say safe.”
