TWO cars were discovered burning in woodland this morning.
Firefighters were called to the scene near the playing fields in Toulmin Drive, St Albans, at around 6am where they found the vehicles well-alight and completely gutted.
A police spokesperson said that one of the vehicles was a Vauxhall Corsa.
The other car was so badly damaged it was difficult to identify it, but it may have been a Nissan Micra.
The district council, which owns the land, will be responsible for clearing the vehicles.
There have been a long string of similar incidents on the land in recent months, forcing police to step up patrols in the neighbourhood.
