Traffic is being held back on the M25 due to a car fire between junctions 22 and 21A anti-clockwise.
Firefighters are trying to extinguish the car, which is parked on the hard shoulder of the motorway near to St Albans and London Colney.
Police were called at 10.28am to reports a car had broken down on the M25 anti-clockwise and was on fire.
Drivers have been told to expect delays.
