Car crash in Harpenden causes main road to close

Police were called to Luton Road in Harpenden this morning

Luton Road in Harpenden was closed for more than an hour this morning after two cars collided and spread debris across the road.

A silver Honda Civic a white Masda 2TS crashed at about 10am this morning at the junction with Moreton End Lane. The drivers sustained minor injuries but were not hospitalised.

Police closed the road to clear debris and recovered the Honda, which was written off. Crew from Harpenden Fire Station also attended to help clear the scene.

The road was re-opened by 11.30am.
