Car and sentimental items stolen after burglar(s) raid Redbourn home
Residents of a Redbourn home raided by burglars have been left ‘very upset’ after their car and numerous sentimental items were stolen.
The Crown Street property was broken into on November 26 by burglar(s) who smashed the rear patio door when no one was home between 7pm and 11pm.
A search of the address revealed a number of items were stolen before the criminal(s) took the occupant’s Vauxhall Insignia and drove away.
The property stolen includes:
· A Callaway driver golf club
· A gold pocket watch
· Four sets of gold cufflinks
· A number of items of jewellery, including rings, chains and a medallion, which shows a representation of the Acropolis in Athens (pictured)
· A large stuffed toy tiger (pictured)
DC Dean Trollope from the St Albans Local Crime Unit is investigating and said: “This burglary has left the victims very upset due to the sentimental value attached to the items stolen, particularly the pocket watch which was given to the victim by their father.
“As the items taken are fairly distinctive I would like to hear from anyone who has been offered them for sale or knows of their whereabouts. Equally, people may have seen a Vauxhall Insignia being driven in the area around the time of the burglary. If anyone did see this they should contact me as soon as possible.”
Anyone with any information in relation to this incident is asked to contact DC Trollope via the non-emergency number 101.
Alternatively people can call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
