One person was injured when a gas cylinder exploded inside a van yesterday.

Emergency services rushed to Richardson Close in London Colney at about 7.45am, because a Calor Gas container blew up inside a parked van.

Ambulances took a woman in her 40s to Watford General Hospital for minor burns to her face and arms.

The vehicle was extensively damaged and the incident has been referred to the Health and Safety Executive.
