MORE than 100 homes in St Albans were without power overnight after a fault with a high-voltage cable yesterday (Monday) afternoon.
Initially more than 1,500 homes on the northern outskirts of the city along with St Albans Girls School lost power at about 3pm.
EDF Energy engineers restored the majority of supplies at around 6pm although more than100 customers were without power until 9.40am this morning.
A spokesperson from EDF said: "Once again, we apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused. We know how hard it is to lose power, especially at this time of year.
