PILOTS and navigators who flew Mosquito planes during the last war converged on London Colney for a special weekend last Saturday and Sunday.
They were taking part in a celebration signing event to mark the 70th anniversary of the first flight of the DH98 Mosquito at the de Havilland Museum just outside the village. The celebrated plane was deployed in important missions all over the world, including raids on the Far East and Germany where the air force destroyed V2 rocket factories and nuclear installations.
