Busking day in aid of St Albans-based HIV support charity
The sound of melodic music makers will fill the city centre this Saturday when musicians come together to raise money for a struggling charity.
More than 15 artists from the district will be performing outside the Clock Tower on Saturday (15) for HIV support charity The Crescent.
The Crescent is a St Albans based charity which provides HIV support to people in Hertfordshire, but had its county council funding cut several years ago.
The busking day. organised by music promotor for Trestle Arts Base Denise Parsons, is to raise vital funds for the charity which runs solely on donations and grants.
Iain Murtagh, head of operations at The Crescent, said: “We are very pleased and grateful to all the very talented local musicians who have donated their time and talent to raise funds again for us.
“This is always a very popular event and it is free, although we of course welcome a donation if you can to help us keep providing services for everyone.”
The event will take place from 10am to 4pm. If you would like to help raise funds for the charity, get in touch with Iain here.
